The pattern on this razor is not just folded, it is twisted. This handcrafted straight razor features a twisted-pattern Damascus blade with a 4-inch cutting edge, set into a handle of blue Pakka wood and black resin.

The Beauty of a Twisted Pattern

Standard Damascus is folded flat, but a twisted pattern takes an extra step: the smith twists the layered steel billet before forging, which creates swirling, spiraling lines instead of straight waves. It is harder to make and gives the 4-inch blade a look that seems to move as you turn it.

The handle balances that drama with a cool, grounded feel. Blue Pakka wood, an engineered wood built for strength and moisture resistance, is paired with a section of black resin for contrast. It is smooth, sturdy, and easy to grip.

Together, the twisted blade and blue-and-black handle make a razor with real personality, a fresh take on the classic wet shave.

FAQs

What is a twisted Damascus pattern?

It is made by twisting the layered steel before forging, which creates swirling, spiral lines instead of flat waves. It takes more skill and looks more dramatic.

What is Pakka wood?

Pakka wood is an engineered wood soaked with resin for strength and moisture resistance. That makes it a smart, sturdy choice for a bathroom shaving tool.

How long is the cutting edge?

The cutting edge is about 4 inches, giving you plenty of blade for a smooth shave.

Is this a good razor for a beginner?

It can be, with patience. Learn a steady angle and strop before each shave, and the razor rewards you with a close result.

How do I care for it?

Dry the blade fully after shaving, oil it lightly, and keep the handle out of long soaking to protect the wood.
